Made from an ivory ceramic material this jar is for hand washing only and should not be cleaned in the dishwasher machine as the beautiful decorative details may be damaged. There is no seal at the neck of the snowman so if you're looking to store items then make sure they are individually wrapped and therefore sealed.
The jar measures 8.5 inches by 6.5 inches by 10.5 inches high, and has a 52-ounce capacity. Some reviewers have commented that it is possibly better suited for storing sweets and chocolates than for cookies. This may be due to the shape of the inside of the container. which restricts the size of items that it can fit comfortably.
